Genshin Impact’s version 6.2, also known as Luna III, is dropping soon. That means new characters, quests, and most importantly, events! Events in Genshin are limited time mini-games or quests that appear per version. Players can complete these for extra rewards like Ascension materials, food items, and Primogems for extra character pulls!
🗓️When is Version 6.2, Luna III Dropping?
As of writing, we’re currently in Genshin Impact’s version 6.1, second phase. We’re nearing the end of not just this phase, but also several banners to make space for characters like Durin, who’s been making headlines in the fanbase. There even plans to be a rerun for another popular Support character, Venti, and several others. Need some help preparing for Genshin’s new banners? Check for our genshin top up center today!
But when will Genshin’s Luna III finally release? Well, according to recent posts and livestreams by Hoyoverse, and past version release schedules, version 6.2 should release around December 3rd, 2025 depending on your timezone. For those living in North America, you’ll actually gain access to the update a day early!
🪽Soulblazers’ Snowbound Journey
In the Soulblazers’ Snowbound Journey event, there are four different parts that celebrate the winter season. When accessing the event, you’ll be teleported to the Teyvat region. From there, you can access several mini-games to play for rewards.
Rewards:
- Primogems
- Mora
- Hero’s Wit
- Sanctifying Unction
- Rainbow Serpent’s Rain Bow
- Refined Heart
🌳Hide-and-Seek
In Hide-and-Seek, you’ll be hiding from the seeker, or seeking out your friends in one of many hiding spots. If you’re hiding, you can find multiple good spots across Teyvat. Just be careful not to make yours too obvious! When seeking, you can also find several buffs to help find your friends sooner, making the game have an extra edge to it.
🪙Adventure Coins
Along with hide-and-seek, for those wanting more of a thrilling challenge, the event also includes some new time trials. This is great for the platforming pros, as you’ll be tasked with collecting Adventure Coins across Teyvat. The key strategy is to follow the set route as fast as possible, which may take some platforming practice.
❄️Snowball Fights
Next are the snowball fights, which may not work how you think they do. Instead of fighting against other players, you’re aiming at snowmen around Teyvat. Depending on the snowman you hit, you’ll earn points. The higher the points, the better your high score and rarer your potential rewards are.
⚔️Battle Souls
Finally, the last mini-game you can play during this event is one where you strictly fight enemies for points. Using Battle Souls, which can buff your characters’abilities, you’ll be fighting waves to earn as many points as possible. With those points, you can not only set records, but earn rewards whilst doing so.
🕹️Bing-Bang Finchball
Bing-Bang Finchball is a returning mini-game event that many Genshin Impact veterans are likely familiar with. While being a cute pinball game, you’ll also be hitting enemies to keep your run going. However, those same enemies can also hit you and affect your score, so you’ll have to keep a balance between earning points through other means, and defending yourself.
Rewards:
- Primogems
- Mora
- Hero’s Wit
- Mystic Enhancement Ore
- Chapter of an Ancient Chord
- Sublimation of Pure Sacred Dewdrop
- Wine Goblet of the Pristine Sea
🐶Heroic Clash: Saurian Brawl
The Heroic Clash: Saurian Brawl is a new event, so there isn’t much gameplay for this yet. However, based on Hoyverse’s livestreams, it looks like we’ll be playing as Saurians! As them, you’ll be collecting Adventure Coins in different Arenas. You will also be competing against other Saurians potentially, whether alongside them in-game, or on the leaderboards.
Rewards:
- Primogems
- Hero’s Wit
- Mora
- Sanctifying Unction

The last event coming to Genshin’s Luna III update is the return of Marvelous Merchandise. Every day, players can meet and talk to Liben, the merchant.
